Introduction.
| The
courses are designed to enhance the overall abilities of students
and enable them to obtain Licentiate Membership of the National Council
for Hypnotherapy. The courses will achieve this aim by imparting the
knowledge of how to use the skills acquired effectively within a therapeutic
framework. On completion of the courses students will be able to establish
a successful private practice. |
The
Structure of Courses.
| The
courses are designed to provide training in the skills needed to help
improve the management of feelings, reactions and habits in others,
and also to understandthe mechanics of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
Anyone practicing as a hypnotherapist carries an enormous responsibility
and in order to protect themselves and their clients, needs to be
fully aware of codes of ethics established by the National Council.
The form of the course is designed to provide the needs of those who: |
| 1.
have decided to enter a new career in hypnotherapy,and
2.
wish to either work in private practice, or
3 simply want to extend their own personal growth.

Methods.
|
1.The
primary emphasis will be on student-centered learning with discussion
and experiential learning.
2.Teaching will utilise a wide variety of methodologies and techniques
3.Students will be required to participate in the practise of skills
through a series of exercises designed to increase self-awareness.
4.Students will be provided with readings lists and will be expected
to obtain the set text books recommended by the tutors.

Assessment.
| Assessment
is continuous and students will be required to maintain a personal
journal for the duration of the course. This portfolio of evidence
of learning will form the basis of the tutorial system and will be
part of the overall final assessment. |
| The
final assessment will cover two main forms: |
a.
Evidence of Performance and
b. Evidence of Knowledge and Understanding
